he Hollywood Fringe is an open-access festival, meaning anyone who meets the basic qualifications can join; there is no jury deciding who can and can’t be a part of it all. It is a self-produced festival, meaning its participants produce, promote, and stage their own work.

History and Mission: The festival, formerly known as Hatchery Arts, was started in 2010 and is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
Festival Stats: Hollywood Fringe averages about 400 individual shows with 2,000 performances across nearly 50 spaces.
100% of box office proceeds are returned to the producing artists .
The festival takes place in June .
The Hollywood Fringe staff works year-round in support of independent artists .
Fringe Central is the headquarters for audience members .
The Hollywood Fringe Box/Shop not only exists in-person but online .
Outreach events include the popular “Fringe Runway” and “Fringe Lightning Round” .
