Jimmy Kimmel returned with son Billy last night with much to say about his needed vacation which he took a week off to tend to the health of his son. Both charmed Kimmel’s viewers Monday night.
Baby Billy was born in April with a serious heart defect in which his pulmonary valve had to be operated on. The serious condition called for an immediate operation after Billy was born and another follow-up operation recently.
Last Monday, he had a successful second surgery and Kimmel took a small hiatus from his late-night show.
“I was out last week because this guy had heart surgery, but look, he’s fine, everybody,” the funnyman said getting choked up. “He may have pooped, but he’s fine.”
“Daddy cries on TV, but Billy doesn’t — it’s unbelievable,” Kimmel went on to speak about the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP).
