The death of Captain Howard in Bad Boys for Life was a shocking loss to one of the franchise’s key characters. Joe Pantoliano first played the character in 1995’s Bad Boys and stayed in the role for the first three movies alongside stars Smith and Lawrence. While the latest trailer for the fourth movie, Bad Boys: Ride or Die, shows that Howard will appear again, it will be in a much different capacity as he was assassinated as a message to the heroes in the third movie. Howard, the rage-filled yet caring mentor to the two cops, was a highlight of the first three movies. Although it is sad to lose his character, he is not all gone and appears in this new BadBoys film via videos he made before his untimely death.
