THE HISTORY OF COMEDY is the new CNN Network show which takes a documentary style look at various aspects of comedy throughout history.   From Executive Producers Sean Hayes (Will & Grace, The Bucket List) and Christopher G. Cowen (Killing Lincoln, Apollo 13) the new show uses  archival footage along with recorded interviews of comedy legends  as well as current stars in covering the history of not only what makes us laugh, but how comedy affects our world socially as well as politically.

Subject matter of the show includes episodes like: “What Comedy Taught Us About Parenting,” “Women Having the Last Laugh”, ” Comedy Filthy Words – Change America”, “Comedy Too Scandalous for The Store” and “50 People Who Changed American Comedy”  The History Of Comedy – Airs every Thursday At 10 ET/PT  on CNN.
