BLACKISH star Tracee Ellis Ross  who recently filled in as Guest Host on JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE talked about  sexual harassment in light of recent events surrounding harassment  allegations in various professional environments.

Ross used the Kimmel platform to shine more light on the issue.  She brought out an oversized copy of her original children’s book called The Handsy Man. Through the book’s illustrations and rhymes, Ross sums it  all up: “Treating another human being with respect isn’t complicated, but it seems a bit confusing for a lot of men out there.”

From the  book: The Handsy Man…

”So Handsy Man, If you’re still confused

whether your behavior will be excused

I’ll say it clearly, nice and slow.

If she doesn’t consent — the answer is NO!”

“Our guest host Tracee Ellis Ross decided that since she had a big platform like this, she wanted to talk about the Hollywood sexual harassment scandal. Over the past two months, countless brave women have come forward to share their experiences and while Tracee isn’t totally surprised by these stories, it seems like quite a few men are. Treating women with respect shouldn’t be complicated but it seems to be a bit confusing for a lot of men. So Tracee wrote a children’s book for men to make this real simple for them.”

“Black-ish” star Tracee Ellis Ross addressed sexual harassment head-on at the top of Tuesday’s episode of “Jimmy Kimmel live,” with a satirical explanation presented in the form of a children’s book.

Filling in as host for Kimmel, who is off this week while his infant son recovers from heart surgery, Ross started things off on a serious note. “It isn’t a sex scandal,” she said. “It isn’t a Hollywood scandal. It isn’t even a scandal. It is a systemic problem, about the abuse of power that takes place across all industries, and had enabled a culture of inequity to persist for far too long.”

Ross then noted that a lot of men seem to have a problem understanding this, and pulled out “The Handsy Man,” a mashup parody of Dr. Seuss and Shel Silverstein that explains harassment.

“You may not Compliment my butt/You may not call me ‘ho’ or ‘slut’/and even if you’re stoned or drunk/do not expose me to your junk” goes one passage.
