Netflix Brings Controversial Book to Film – THE WHITE TIGER

Based upon the New York Times bestseller Indian author Aravind Adiga’s novel ‘The White Tiger’, which won the prestigious Booker Prize for 2008, and triggered a debate in Nepal over alleged negative “stereotyping” of the Nepalese, Netflix brings to life this new comedy film. The movie stars, Balram Halwai (Adarsh Gourav), who narrates his epic and darkly humorous rise from poor villager to successful entrepreneur in modern India.
Cunning and ambitious, our young hero jockeys his way into becoming a driver for Ashok (Rajkummar Rao) and Pinky (Priyanka Chopra Jonas), who have just returned from America. Society has trained Balram to be one thing — a servant — so he makes himself indispensable to his rich masters.
But , after a night of betrayal, he realizes the corrupt lengths they will go to trap him and save themselves. On the verge of losing everything, Balram rebels against a rigged and unequal system to rise up and become a new kind of master.
“I’m so excited to work with Ramin Bahrani and Netflix to bring Aravind Adiga’s story to cinematic life. When I read the book, I was fascinated with the perspective of the narrative. ” said actress, Priyanka Chopra Jonas.
THE WHITE TIGER film will be released in the USA on Netflix beginning January 22, 2021.
Chris Rock to Host SNL – Oct 3rd – Megan Thee Stallion To Appear

Chris Rock will take the stage in Studio 8H as host of “Saturday Night Live’s” 46th season premiere on Oct. 3, 2020. This will mark Rock’s third appearance as the show’s host. Also on the show, Megan Thee Stallion will make her “SNL” musical guest debut. Her latest album, “Suga,” has garnered over 900 million streams to date and spawned this summer’s smash hit and 3x platinum single, “Savage.”
Rock was a SNL cast member from 1990-1993 and he previously hosted the show in 1996 and 2014. The multiple Emmy and Grammy Award winner, Rock, currently stars in the fourth installment of FX’s critically acclaimed drama series “Fargo,” which launches tonight.
This will be the first time NBC has taped the show from their NBC/NY studios since March 2020 after the pandemic became wide-spread. “Saturday Night Live” is produced in association with Broadway Video. The New York Times recently caught up with the show’s Executive Producer, Lorne Michaels, as he reflected on returning to the NBC Studios during this COVID-19 pandemic: “Things have changed. There’s heat sensors at the revolving doors and then you go for your rapid [Covid] test. You wait 15 minutes and then you’re in the building. The Monday night meetings in my office on the 17th floor, which once had 40 people, now has a capacity of three. It’s me plus two. In the same way that we tried to figure out the at-home shows, we’ve had to rethink every part of the show.” Says Michaels.
With this being an election year, other season highlights for upcoming episodes of SNL will include Jim Carrey performing as Presidential candidate Joe Biden and Maya Rudolph as Kamala Harris. Alec Baldwin has also been confirmed to reprise his role as President Donald Trump.

Titus Burgess Host new Singing Competition on NETFLIX

In this fun, fast-paced music contest hosted by Tituss Burgess, players sing their hearts out and try to hit the right notes to win up to $60,000. There is only one judge and it is the vocal analyzer, which determines the skills of the singers based on their accuracy.
So, what could go wrong when hits by Madonna, Bon Jovi, Aerosmith, P!nk, Culture Club and tons of others are made to feel so shiny and new? A lot. Catch all the fun and watch as contestants sing off key and out of tune in this fun loving new show from the producers at Netflix.
On the show, contestants get to vote others out during each round except for the singer that scores the highest, who is, of course, saved from elimination.
This new, original NETFLIX, eight-episode series will see six contestants sing the lyrics of the biggest hits from different genres with each episode having its own theme. The more in tune and accurate the contestants are with the song, the more dollars they can win.
This new series is Directed by Richard van’t Riet, executive produced by Victoria Ashbourne and produced by Roger Johnson with consulting Producer Jill Kushner at Netflix Hollywood studios in California and the first episode aired on September 16, 2020.

GO-BIG SHOW Extreme Talent Competition To Premiere in 2021

Go-Big Show is set to be an hour-long extreme talent competition starring celebrity judges Snoop Dogg, Rosario Dawson, Jennifer Nettles and “The American Nightmare” Cody and hosted by popular comedian Bert Kreischer. It will showcases supersized talents on a scale never before seen on television. Featuring monster trucks, alligator trainers, stunt archery and other radical feats, the program celebrates daring acts alongside personal, behind-the-scenes stories from the challengers as they battle head-to-head to impress the judges and advance toward the finale’s ultimate $100,000 prize.
Go-Big Show has begun production on 10 episodes at the Macon Coliseum in Georgia, where contenders and staff are operating under strict Covid-19 safety protocols and isolating together for the duration of production.
While the 7,000 seats within the arena will remain empty during tapings, the show’s lively indoor festivities will extend outdoors to TV’s first-ever, interactive drive-in audience. Spectators will cheer for their favorite competitors in real time during a socially-distanced tailgate party just outside the venue.

Will Smith & Cast Celebrate 30 Years of FRESH PRINCE

Will Smith released two first-look photos at the upcoming The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air reunion special from Westbrook Media, of the 30th anniversary of the iconic series. Smith was joined by series regulars Tatyana Ali, Karyn Parsons, Joseph Marcell, Daphne Maxwell Reid and Alfonso Ribeiro as well as recurring co-star DJ Jazzy Jeff for a family reunion on set in the Banks’ home in this this one-time special. Surprising the rest of the cast, Smith revealed that he sat down yesterday with Janet Hubert, who originated the role of Aunt Viv, for the first time in 27 years for an emotional reunion and a candid conversation.
The reunion will launch exclusively on HBO Max around Thanksgiving 2020. The upcoming special will be a funny and heartfelt night full of music, dancing, and more special surprise guests, in honor of the series that ran for six seasons and 148 episodes.
The iconic series starred Will Smith as a teenager from inner city Philadelphia who’s sent to California to live in with his wealthy relatives in the hopes that they will “straighten him out and teach him some good old-fashioned values,” but Will soon takes his rightful place as The Fresh Prince of Bel Air.

RAISED BY WOLVES Returns for Season Two

Ridley Scott’s Raised by Wolves will return on the impressive debut it made on HBO Max as the Top Performing Max Original since the platform’s launch.
After a striking debut on the streamer as the #1 performing Max original since the platform’s launch, HBO Max has ordered a second season of Raised by Wolves, a serialized sci-fi series from master storyteller and filmmaker Ridley Scott (The Martian, Gladiator, Alien), which has immersed fans into the rich, intricate world of Kepler 22-b. The series, which debuted with three episodes on Sept. 3, has continued to be a strong performer in its second week on the platform, growing its audience by nearly 50% week over week.
Raised by Wolves centers on two androids tasked with raising human children on a mysterious virgin planet. As the burgeoning colony of humans threatens to be torn apart by religious differences, the androids learn that controlling the beliefs of humans is a treacherous and difficult task. Scott serves as an executive producer on the series and directed the first two episodes, marking his television series directorial debut for American audiences. The series was created by Aaron Guzikowski, acclaimed writer and visionary behind the highly lauded film, Prisoners.

WIPE-OUT!- Game Show Back for New Season

LOVEBIRDS – New Movie Hits Netflix

In the new Paramount Picture/Netflix release LOVEBIRDS, a couple (Issa Rae and Kumail Nanjiani) experiences a defining moment in their relationship when they are unintentionally embroiled in a murder mystery. As their journey to clear their names takes them from one extreme – and hilarious – circumstance to the next, they must figure out how they, and their relationship, can survive the night.
A little background on this new flick. Paramount Pictures had originally planned to release the film through traditional theatres, however, with the closing of so many movie house around the globe, they decided to release it through Netfilx.
