I always get so excited when a fresh new comedy star rises. Such is the case with Amy Sedaris and her new show on TRU-Tv, now in it’s second season. It’s a throw-back to the style of legendary female comedians, Carol Burnett and Tracey Ullman. At Home with Amy Sedaris, is sure to become a mega-hit. With well-written ‘sketch type comedy scenes’ all surrounding Sedaris’ kitchen talk-show character’s crazy personality, this is one cooking show, audiences can jump into for wacky talk- food fun. Yep. That beautiful head of lettuce had to start somewhere… dirt!
Sedaris (cordially invites you into her home, where she will show off and share her diverse but necessary homemaking skills, from creating popsicle-stick buddies, raisin necklaces, olive/shrimp/kale Christmas trees, gutting a fish, making raisin necklaces or entertaining businessmen. This is one talk show that is sure to keep you laughing and wanting more & more…
The series, which was created by Sedaris along with Paul Dinello (The Colbert Report, Strangers with Candy) features guest stars visiting the cooking show, all of whom are just as wild, crazy and outlandish as Sedaris herself. This, of course, makes for non-stop laughter. As always, Amy will uses her unique expertise to entertain guests, demonstrate her know-how by preparing meals and exhibit her can-do spirit by attempting to work out personal issues
At Home With Amy Sedaris was nominated for a 2018 Primetime Emmy® Award for Outstanding Variety Sketch Series as well as a Writers Guild of America Award for (TV) Comedy/Variety Sketch Series. Remember, if you want to be the perfect host, accentuate the positives and medicate the negatives you have to watch At Home with Amy Sedaris for her latest tips.
