Known as the “Rooftop Robber” for breaking into McDonald’s restaurants through their roofs in the late 1990s. after escaping from prison in 2004 while serving 45 years for robbery, he lived hidden in a Charlotte, North Carolina, Toys “R” Us store, using the alias “John Zorn” while on the run for six months.
